Cloud Computing
Presented by Professor Houman Younessi, Department of Engineering & Science

Webinar Abstract

We are on the verge of the next fundamentally significant trend in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) — Cloud Computing.

Cloud Computing provides the infrastructure, platforms, and services required for a ubiquitous solution-as-service model of information and communication technology. ICT customers desire the ability to focus on their business requirements and core competencies while allowing others to provide all remaining necessary functions in a secure and reliable way.  As a result, security and reliability have become the two most important aspects of Cloud Computing.

Professor Houman Younessi will discuss Cloud Computing, the technologies that make it possible, and its impact on the future of how we interact with one another through Information and Communications Systems.

Professor Younessi is a faculty member for our upcoming M.S. in Computer Science with a Concentration in Secure Information and Communication Systems, beginning this fall.
